Read Psalm 19.
In the same way, there is balance and harmony in the wisdom we find in the scriptures, which we read offers revival, joy, and enlightenment. It is the wisdom and righteousness of God we should pursue, according to the psalmist, much more than the material pleasures of the world. Part of the expression of wisdom and righteousness involves laying ourselves open before God, allowing God to examine and cleanse our spirits.
This means being honest with ourselves and honest with God. It means daily striving to attain the prayer of vs. 14. “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
If you have not already done this, memorize this verse and commit yourself to praying it at the start of each day this week. At the end of the week, reflect on whether it had an impact on your daily interactions.
