Good Works and Charity

What are you willing to sacrifice for “good works and acts of charity”?

Read Acts 9:36-43.

In this passage, we meet Tabitha (Dorcas in Greek). Because of the respectful treatment she receives, as well as the fact that she lived in a place with two stories, we can assume that she was a woman of means. And what did she do with her resources? She dedicated herself to blessing those of lesser means. What women have you known who live similarly? What are you willing to sacrifice for “good works and acts of charity”? How might you be a blessing today to someone who is in need?

In prayer, ask that God would open your eyes to the need around you.
