Mystery of Grace

How do you proclaim the boundless riches of Christ in your life?

Read Ephesians 3:1-12.

In these verses, Paul doubles down on his insistence that the grace of God is available to all people, Jew and Gentile alike. It was a mystery that had been unknown to the generations before Jesus came along and enacted God’s plan to erase the lines that we use to divide ourselves. Because of Jesus, according to Paul, we now know that we are siblings in the human family and members of the same body. It’s a message to which Paul is so committed, he’s willing to be imprisoned for it.

In vs. 8, we read, “Although I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given to me to bring to the Gentiles the news of the boundless riches of Christ.” Sometimes, we feel inadequate or ill-equipped to share the Gospel, yet it is the grace of God that allows us to do so. Even if you don’t feel you have the right words, how else do you proclaim the boundless riches of Christ in your life? How might you be more open to the Spirit working through you?

In prayer, commit yourself to being open to God’s evangelistic work through you.
