Never Alone

When have you felt like God was the only one on your side?

Read 2 Timothy 4:6-8, 16-18.

Paul, writing from prison, feels he is nearing the end of his life on this earth. He has suffered any number of insults, injuries, and imprisonments for the sake of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. There were times he felt alone in the fight, but never doubted the presence and strength of God that accompanied him. He realizes that as desperate as things seem, there is nowhere to go but up from here.

When have you felt you were at the end of your rope? When has a situation or a relationship seemingly hit rock bottom? When have you felt like God was the only one on your side?

Offer a prayer of thanksgiving for God’s constant presence and companionship.
