Here, the psalmist repeats, “Restore us.” The Hebrew word for “restore” translates as “turn” or “repent.” Most of us know which thoughts, attitudes, or behaviors are those God would want us to turn from. Turning is multi-directional: turning from and turning toward, turning up and turning down. We can also turn inwardly or outwardly.
